Marty's passion for the outdoors started at the age of 11 when his uncle took he and his cousins on a 10 day backpacking trip through the Sierra's.

He bought his first 4x4 vehicle in 1982 and has combined all of his outdoor activities with off-roading ever since. 

With over 40 years of experience and nearly 400 adventures under his belt, Marty has surfed, mountain biked, jeeped, climbed, hiked, and explored many of the most incredible places in the western united states. He has actively been "Overland Traveling" long before it was ever called "Overland Travel".
